Lawrenceburg, Indiana (a real shithole town, let me tell ya. There's a big nasty distillery right down the road from the track that made this track a real stinker. The pollutants in the air seem to have had the effect of a full moon on the drivers as you will read below.) 9-28-14- VLR Promotions in conjunction with the Indiana Board of Tourism was proud to Present the Hoosier 60 which was shortened to the Hoosier 50 due to the Wiggles concert that was held at the track after the race.

Some drivers spotted in the front row and having a good time at the concert included such luminaries as KingGinger, Eric Wilke, and BLS_F!yer.   F!yer unfortunately had to be escorted away when he jumped on stage during the Wiggles rendition of the ODB classic, Shimmy Shimmy YA.

Qualifying rolled out for the solid field and once again it was AIR_RB taking the top spot.  That is 2 poles in a row for RB, who has to be the hottest driver in DTR2. JFR_LP, VLR_Shock, DOIT (???)_10 and BLS_BW rounded the top five for qualifying. Good to see 5 different teams represented in the top 5.  With the extra week of practice , many were expecting record times, but it was not to be.

Two heats were ran , with BLS_BW43 and JFR_LP taking the wins. Smallz took the exciting B-main win in a side by side finish with VLR_Shock.

Due to VLR’s handicapping for the feature lineup KingGinger started on the pole for the A Main. KingGinger wanted to start on the pole so bad that he intentionally broke both of his legs just before the start of the A Main because he thought that's what the Handicap Format meant at VLR.

Unfortunately for KingGinger, he would've started on the pole anyway due to the Handicap format being based off the drivers reverse average finishes for the A Main Lineup. Therefore, the legless Ginger would find it tough going in the A Main with his limbs watching him from atop his hauler.

Another rookie, Momper43 (who the hell is that?) lined up beside KingGinger in the feature.  Many had concerns that carnage would ensue on the start of the A-main, but not to worry, there was only mass carnage on such a scale that the price of scap sheet metal bottomed out due to the abundance of supply generated from the first 10 laps of the A Main.

At the drop of the green it was KingGinger taking the lead and looking like maybe an upset winner, but there were some badass, fast mofo’s coming up through field behind him. If KingGinger hadn't made the crucial mistake of shearing his legs off before the A Main he likely would've lapped the field.

AIR_RB, started in fifth and was knocked back a couple times but gathered it back together to take the lead on lap 8. Behind him, KG put up a good fight with BLS_18 for second. BLS_18 proved the old saying "20 tires are better than 4" as he passed 5 cars in one corner after his throttle hung in turn one on lap 10 to take over third. Wheels vast experience and power moves eventually prevailed but RB had build up an impressive lead at this time.

And that was it folks.  Like when he was 10 and had his first sip of beer and knew immediately that he wanted a second sip, after RB got a his first VLR win, he knew he wanted more.   Team AIR now has won 3 races in a row.  Who’s gonna stop their dominance???  Shock, Wheel, BW, KingGinger……the Ultimate Warrior?? Only time will tell.

Wheel had to settle for second, but opened up his point lead to 15.  Shock may have had the best car but came in 3rd after fighting back to the front a couple times.  Dirty Dirk came in 4th, any team looking for an awesome driver please send money in a brown envelope.  LP came in 5th after a hard battle with the D10 machine of Dirk.

BLS_BW  might have had the drive of the night, after being spun out into the infield, half a lap back from the pack, came in for a hard fought 6th.  Smallz continued his streak of good VLR finishes with a 7th. JFR_Duster was beaten like a rented mule, but still managed an 8th place.   And our front row starters,  KingGinger and Momper43 finished 9th and 10th.

Next week VLR heads to the great state of Pennsylvania for the Pittsburgher 50 at the beautiful  Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway in Imperial , PA. Every single driver in last weeks A Main will be showing to the event with all new cars due to the total destruction of everyone at Lawrenceburg.
