Lets see everyone's opinion of the top 5 teams in the game.

fk theres only 5 teams on dtr2...shouldnt be too hard!

This is mt opinion based on team show ups not win..

1. BLS ( always have a lot of guys showing up at league races)
2. VLR (not cause of Shock but the same as BLS team support at races)
3. Do!t (only a few show but we try to help each other)
4. WFO (they have the drivers that win not many show up)
5.TXR ( there getting some good drivers and they are fast)

1. VLR - When you have Wheel as your top dog it helps alot. But Shock can win anytime as well. JW is coming on strong and is super fast. Then you have McGee, one of the cleanest drivers in the game and is always quick. Then you have up and commers in Superman and 911

2. WFO - JJ has emerged as the top dog in the WFO stable and is right there with Wheel as far as talent and speed go, but you also have Rain and Ice can bring home a win anytime they run. Then you have Ranger who makes most the features he runs in. If Stealth and Sidebite come back could move them past VLR.

3. DOIT - Doit dont really have a monster driver but have a ton of consistant drivers led by Owner Doit5. Dirty can run up front at anytime but seems to have the worst luck. Tony is turning some heads and getting some good runs as of late and Slammer could run up front when he puts down the hooch (haha)

4. BLS - With the departure of F1 B34 and B42 have stepped up in his absence. Jammin is always tough and is one of the premier track builders on the game,

5. TXR - You dont see much of TXR around other than at their league and the browser. Rowdy is very quick but had some ping issues. TJ has his moments where he can run with anyone,

Yeah, this is pretty much how I feel too. Maybe switch 1 and 2 and switch 4 and 5 depending on the day.

Thanks for the points Fas, but I dont think ERL is there yet. Not that it wont be in time, but definately not yet.

Here's my stab at it.
Who supports the game? Who promotes and tries to improve the game? Keep in mind this has nothing to do with # of wins. That would be much less subjective. I would be interested to see over all team wins and just see who's the team with the most wins. Just a thought.

1. Doit - They have been trying new stuff the longest - I believe its the oldest team still running, and that's one reason I scored them #1 - There have been mixxed emotions and folks pickin at Karl about hunting for cheaters, but he is truely trying to improve the game and level the playing field. He spends a lot of time on this stuff to improve the game. The same thing with the Right Call. Just trying to improve the game and community. Tons of respect for Karl and the team. Always willing to help just about anyone. Race format is always good.

2. VLR / BLS - I couldn't (IMO) put one in front of the other here.

There are ussually more BLS at any given event than any other team - You got guys like Deadbolt keeping up with the web pages, stats, and the holy grail of DTR2 schedules. Then there's F1yer, always looking to improve the game in some way, new chassis, tracks, ect. And in my opinion, BLS has more consistanly clean drivers than any team.

VLR is always on the cutting edge, and has one of the most complete DTR2 sites there is. It's the go to place for forums, schedules, racing news, downloads. I could go on and on. And they have one of my favorite drivers on there team. Yep I'ma McGeezer fan! lol Shock has made some killer tracks as well. Now they are doing the live qualifying and Fast 10 browser servers. Very cool stuff.

VLR / BLS is the dynamic duo in my opinion. I don't think they ment for it to happen that way, but they definately compliment each other. Race format at either is always good. They help so many with setups and helpful hints. They both have some very fast drivers.

3. WFO - Mostly for their winning presents. They are fast! They help the new guy when they can. Most are respecful in the face of adversity. Race format is always good. They promote other league events besides their own. Good group of guys.

4. IFRT - The old Farmer site has a ton of downloads and helpfull info - IFRT_14, IFRT_Jim hit almost every league race. The team seems to fade in and out but they have very loyal teamates in these two guys. They are always willing to help out a new guy.

5. TXR - I enjoyed racing their events last season. Not super structured, very laid back - very little drama. A whole lot of jokin around. Good times. I know Rowdy occasionally lives up to his name, but he's always helped me and I've seen him help many others. He's not the only one with a quick temper. A rather new team but they are adding new recruits all the time. Fast ones too!


Really the only thing ERL has done to forward the game is run a year long season to assure there is somewhere for us to run all year long. We offset the EBBMS to run every other week, and I'm not sure but I think it's the longest Big Block series yet. We have a good crew but very few race out side of our private team events. We have a couple consistant fast guys (not turbo) but we dont set the world on fire. So... I dont think ERL is top 5 material yet. Honorable mention ... maybe. Events are horribly slow when Turbo is left to run them alone. I hope to improve with time. Good racing format when BLKJAK is running it.

Thanks to all who make our shows, I am truely greatful. I hope now that Goat is back I can agian have time to run other leagues.

Good Post Turbo, but I'm going to clarify something.

Doit has only been around since 2008 or 2009 (I believe it was the end of 2008). They replaced EVR basically because EVR was dead and didn't host a league race in over a year or so before Doit was started. So to say that Doit is the longest running team is incorrect.

VLR has been racing since July 30, 2004, without taking a break between seasons for more than three months at a time. On that criteria, VLR would be the longest running league in the game easily.

WFO has been around longer than VLR or Doit. BUT WFO shut down for around a year or so back in 2007 I believe, and then started back up as a team again. In that time Rainman was on OAS for a bit. But I remember WFO when I first started and Rainman sent me some sets in November of 2004 (Still have the email).

BLS has been around for I guess a little over a year, not sure?

IFRT...they have been around longer than any of the above teams as far as I know. However, IFRT raced NASCAR Heat for years before switching to dtr2. I believe they didn't switch to dtr2 until 2006ish, and they have faded in and out like you said, but hopefully they will keep coming back.

The oldest teams in order as far as I know would look like this:

1. IFRT (2001?)
2. WFO (2003 or 2004?)
3. VLR (July 2004)
4. XCR (2007 or early 2008)
5. Doit (2008)

And like I said, IFRT and WFO both took breaks from dtr2 for at least a year if my memory is correct (I know for sure IFRT did, I just can't remember how long WFO was outta shop), and so VLR technically would be the longest "running" league in the game, since the team has never shut down for a period of timed. But this is all certainly up for debate but I knew you hadn't been around as long to probably know what went on before.

Yea. WFO was around even before that, they stretched back into DTR1 days. I took over WFO in 04. And during my stent at OAS the WFO Racing Series was still around but was only a Series for about a year there. I was the only WFO driver for a few years on top of that. maybe one or two guys swingin in and out. And another team i know that is still around is ATR. They have been around as long as i can recall

That's true Rainman. I didn't know if you were part of the original WFO or not...I found that old website a while back and wondered if it was the as yours. And yes VLR did not start racing an actual scheduled series until 2005. For the first year or so it was mainly browser stuff and running a few other leagues etc.

Yes ATR and NFR have been around forever, too!

That website is still the same one as today. Just kept up better back then. We didnt have a "mega" site, why not, you didnt have a girlfriend back then either

And,and,andandandand, we coooulllddd?.?.?.? maybe since. huhmm. five teams..n. two from 5 teams. ten cars. 5 tracks one track a team throws in. make a series challenge, one track a week. any two drivers from said teams any week. just two from every team every week. on tracks picked it could happen

Shock's just unfortunate enough to live in the smallest town, in the middle of Podunkville that ever existed. Prolly takes him 30 mins to get to a grocery store. We have 11 grocery stores within 5 miles of our house.
