Norfolk, VA (February 28, 2011) - XCR continued its annual Winter Heat tour with its first stop at Norfolk Speedway. 15 cars rolled into the garage Sunday afternoon prepared to tackle the somewhat bumpy track.

Heat 1 was won by VLR_JW followed by BLS_42 and BLS_Jsn getting the last transfer spot. Rounding out the field was BLS_Superman, VLR_KP, BLS_Deadbolt, Lazy3 and ERL_Turbo.

Heat 2 was won by point leader VLR_Shock followed by IFRT_Jim and ERL_Goat getting into the feature. Fourth on back was WFO Ranger, Kamikaze, IFRT_67r and XCR B58.

The dash was won by VLR_JW followed by VLR_Shock.

The hard fought B main saw BLS_Superman take the checkers with Kamikaze, WFO Ranger and VLR_KP getting the transfer spots.

The A main saw JW and Shock on the front row. JW pulled out to the lead but shock found a line on the bottom to take the lead on lap 2. He would pull away by 5 car lengths while JW searches the high side for a line.

JW would find a line and pull up almost to Shocks rear bumper until 10 to go when he does a little de da doe and loses about 7 car lengths. BLS_42 would try everything to catch the front two but come up short.

JW wouldnt give up finding the line again and running Shock down only to miss by .17. KP while running fourth got turned coming out of 4 on the last lap having to settle for seventh. Shock would open his point lead to 40 points over BLS_42 with 4 races remaining.
