Offline Series Dates... 15 years 10 months ago #992

I'm new to DTR2, and as much as I'd love to start runnin in a league, i simply don't have time... I am a light modder though and wanted to make a few series for an offline career, do like a couple of weekly series with an unupgraded late model and then run a touring series with an upgraded late model. I made the series, yet all the dates are set for saturdays... Any way I can change something to make a series run on a Friday or Thursday in the game, so I can run for track championships as well as a touring title? Thanks for the help in advance.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but...

It has been my experience that the game picks the dates, and puts all of your races on Saturday when you configure a custom series. I think the only way that you could possibly get a race to show up on a different night of the week would be to set up a series with over 52 races (since there are 52 weeks in a year), but you would then have a race every Saturday of the year before a race on another night would be possible. To my best knowledge, the series STR files do not have variables for nights of the week, and the computer will spread your schedule across the calendar indiscriminately.

This thread makes me want to experiment with a series with over 52 races on the schedule to see what the hell will happen. I will let you know if I think of something else, but I am not sure if what you are talking about is possible.

Thanks for the insight. I've been through so many data files its not even funny... i mean if the game generates the dates, i would assume each day is given a number, say saturday is day 7... there has to be a file somewhere that designates series to run on day 7 every week... ya know? Or a command line that says day 7 week 1 and then mathematically spreads them out, I've never met a program that works off of random... I really appreciate the help.
