has anyone ever wrote a puritan plain style poem before? my poem is due monday so im fucked.

Puritan Plain Style Poetry Assignment
(yes…even YOU can write poetry…)
Using the definitions from your textbook of Puritan Plain Style, extended metaphor, and apostrophe, you will create a poem with the following characteristics:
• your poem must be at least 10 lines long
• your poem will focus on an everyday object (such as a flower)
• your poem will use this everyday object in the form of an extended metaphor—comparing an object (like a flower) to something else important to you (like love or a relationship) over several lines in the poem. You must include a couple of sentences explaining your metaphor.
• your poem will use simple (although not boring and non-descript) diction
• your poem will use direct statements (to the point but NOT boring!)
• your poem will explore unique phrasing (don’t just write regular sentences and spread them out over lines—play with inverted word order)
• your poem will use at least one apostrophe—a direct address to some absent person, object, or abstraction
• your poem must be printed neatly on white paper and have the object drawn on it (or you can use a picture from a magazine, clip art, etc.). Your poem will be displayed, so make it visually appealing.
• extra credit if you follow a particular rhyme scheme (aabb, abab, etc...) and/or use any of this week’s vocabulary words (correctly)

This must be an original poem. Have fun and be creative!!! 

and i have to read my poem to the class and then explain how one can identify it as a puritan poem, no late work or make ups will be allowed for my project either.

JFR is the best, Much better than the rest
WFO is now slow, Much like lazy's MM show.
BLS has became a blast, Now that they finish last.
VLR has a big show, Only to have A2D make em look slow.
DOIT is back and already 3-4 drivers have been arrested on the track.
XCR is growing, ERL is still not showing.
IFRT is now showing, But still totally blowing.
So know that we know it, Faschek is an awesome poet.
Oh yes he is the best, you guys know the rest!
