Okay so I'm kinda getting back into DTR2 for a bit. I know people say Practice, whenever I ask them how to go fast, but I just don't get it. What aspect should I practice? If racing with keys, do you do any of that "turning right to turn left" that is seen in real dirt racing/rFactor/NASCAR Heat? Should I accelerate after lifting the throttle and beginning my cornering?

Also, I've got some lap times for some tracks I practiced tonight, are these halfway decent or good enough to not finish last in a league B-Main?:

Bloomington default: 10.96
Macon: 9.70 or something
Volusia: 14.44 is my fastest
Magnolie: 12.50

Since there has been no response yet, i will advise you of some of the methods that have help me..... And i am NOT fast , by anymeens. But has help to compare lap times to those who are. Get Online, and go to one of the 80s servers here, lay down some lap times and see on the FAST 10 BOARD , How you fair out compared to others. By turning up SKID DETAIL, in game options, will help you know where on track is your PROBLEMATIC area...... Sliding is adding lap time.Keeping the car ,,,, UNDER you, will lower lap times. And skid detail , will help with that,,, Listening to the motor,, and keeping the TACH rpm's UP As much as possible, keeping your momentum up, Will also LOWER lap times ....... Maybe others will throw you some ideas as well,,, This has help me some to get faster times on the FAST 10 board........................
