I figured I'd post a short history of why I ended up on this site and why Dirt racing is my preferred.
Back in the day when I was about 8 years old, my father bought a Junior sprint car. It was a used one and had a but of a wreck so it needed some work. Unfortunately mid way into the project my family ended up going through troubled times and we no longer had the funding to go ahead and build the car and tour.
So several years down the road I ended up playing games as a hobby, and I ended up stumbling on World of Outlaws Sprint Cars 2002 on ps2. I played the heck out of it, most of this was on a controller though.
Eventually when was much older I got my first steering wheel. My dad bought it to go along with Grand Turismo 4. This same steering wheel spanned GT 5 and 6.
I decided that wasn't enough for me and I began expanding my horizon. One of my favorite types of racing is Rally, so I went on a man hunt for a rally simulator which lead me to the dirt series. Dirt was fun, but sim it was not. Eventually I came across Richard Burns Rally, a game I like so much I had to buy a copy from Germany just to get one.
This passion I had for racing came full circle when I found out WoO 2002 had a PC copy, which lead me into curiously about their other titles.
And that was how I found Dirt Racing 2 and LeadFoot.
While Sprint cars are my passion and what I was going to race as a junior, I have respect for all types of racing.
I suck though. Bad.
