I got three skins on another thread I stared a while back. I cant seem to figure out how to get them downlaoded to the game. If anybody can help me I would greatly appreciate it. I would also prefer them to be in a zip format

What problem are you having? Downloading or installing? Any error messages about the track when you start the game or is it not listed?

I made a thread a little back about trying to get certain driver skins. I got the ones I was looking for but they didnt put them in a format for me to download or "unzip". They are just pics of the skins, I have no idea how to get them unzipped to the proper files they need to go to. I am somewhat new to skins but I know how to unzip them and get them to the porper files but I cant figure these out.

There is a lot that goes into a skin, it's not simply copying and pasting a jpg file. It has to be a .tga file, it has to have correct name (512texture) and the accompanying text file has to match. I'm currently trying to figure out how to take a jpg and get it too work by no luck so far. I know there are guys who know how to do it, i plan on working in it some tonight. If I figure it out I'll let you know.

follow these steps

1. go here download and install
www.teamvlr.com/component/docman/doc_dow...full.html?Itemid=121

2. go to page with skin u want
3. right click mouse and select copy
4. open paint shop
5. select new
6. right click mouse and select paste
7.now you should see the skin
8.go to file (upper left corner)
9.save as and save as 24 bit .tga (name 512 texture)
10. now go get your skin folder and replace with new skin. just remove the 512 texture with the new one

And under the save options, change it to uncompressed. That's what I was doing wrong.

I noticed robot said "and the accompanying text file has to match", idk if you are doing this, but it has to be a .str, not a .txt. The game will probably give an eror if there sin;t an str, but just be sure it is str and not txt.
